The Masters Champions Dinner is an annual pre-tournament event held exclusively for past winners of the tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
The tradition was started in 1952 by Ben Hogan, the first champion to host, and has been held every year since on the Tuesday evening before the first round of the Masters.
The defending champion is responsible for selecting the menu, which often reflects the host's nationality, heritage or personal favorites.[1]
Rory McIlroy, a professional golfer from Holywood, Northern Ireland, has won four major championships: the 2011 U.S. Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship and 2014 PGA Championship.[2]
McIlroy is seeking a victory at the Masters to complete the career Grand Slam, a feat achieved by only five players in men's professional golf history: Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.[3]
The 2025 Masters Tournament was held April 10-13 at Augusta National Golf Club, with the Champions Dinner taking place on April 8.[4]
The 2026 Masters is scheduled for the second full week of April, following the traditional format.[1]
